The Bently Nevada 330104-01-04-15-02-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is an eddy-current based sensing element used in the 3300 XL machinery protection system for precise measurement of shaft vibration and displacement in rotating equipment. It generates a modulated RF field at the probe tip and converts target motion into proportional electrical signals, which are transmitted through a 1.5 m cable to the Proximitor and monitoring modules. The probe features an armored construction with an M10 × 1 threaded body, making it suitable for mechanically demanding installations. It incorporates TipLoc molding technology and CableLoc design (330 N pull strength) to improve mechanical robustness and prevent cable detachment, ensuring stable signal integrity in harsh industrial environments.

The probe is certified for hazardous area use with CSA, ATEX, and IECEx approvals, and supports optional FluidLoc cable sealing to prevent fluid ingress or leakage in oil-exposed machinery. It is commonly used in turbines, compressors, and pumps where reliable non-contact position and vibration monitoring is required for machinery protection.
