Recently, Triconex, a brand under the global industrial automation leader Schneider Electric, officially launched the upgraded digital module of the 3000 series - Triconex 3625A. As a core component tailor-made for the safety instrumented system (S), this module, with its TMR architecture, 32-channel high-density design, and wide environmental adaptability, provides high-reliability and high-f-tolerance safety control solutions for high-risk industries such as oil, chemical, and power, marking a new breakthrough in the field of industrial safety control in terms of redundant technology and precise control.


TMR Redundancy Architecture   SIL3 Certification, Strengthening the "Life Line" of Safety Control
The core competitiveness of Triconex 3625A comes from its mature TMR (Triple Module Redundancy) technology architecture. By synchronously executing control tasks through three independent sub-circ and adopting a median voting mechanism to achieve fault tolerance, even if a single sub-circuit fails, the module can still maintain stable output, completely avoiding system downtime or safety accidents by single point of failure. The module has passed the SIL3 (Safety Integrity Level) certification and fully meets the international industrial safety standards such as API 61 and IEC 61508, providing compliance assurance for safety-critical scenarios such as emergency shutdown system (ESD), valve actuator control, and safe start stop of the motor.
In terms of electrical performance, the module adopts a 24VDC nominal output design, with a wide voltage range of 16-3VDC, a maximum output current of 1.7A per channel, and can withstand a surge current of 7A lasting 10ms. The minimum load current only 10mA, which can flexibly adapt to a variety of industrial actuators such as relays, solenoid valves, and alarms. The 150VDC isolation voltage between channels and the optical isolation design effectively block on-site electromagnetic interference and signal crosstalk, ensuring the stability of signal transmission in complex industrial environments The load leakage current is controlled within 4mA, and the power consumption is less than 13W, achieving a dual balance between energy saving and reliable operation.

In view of the dual needs of space utilization and maintenance efficiency on the industrial site,triconex 3625A adopts a 32-channel high-density integrated design, achieving centralized control of multiple devices within a compact size of 11x71x95mm, significantly reducing the space occupied by rack installation and reducing the system integration cost. The module supports the common ground on-site power supply configuration, simplifies the complexity of on-site wiring, and, combined with the standard Triconex system rack slot-in installation, can achieve quick plugging and system expansion to meet flexible deployment needs of projects of different sizes.

In terms of ease of maintenance, this module is equipped with a built-in real-time selfdiagnosis function, which can continuously monitor the output status and line integrity, and provides visual status feedback for each output point through the "Pass/Fault/Load/Active" four groups of LED indicator lights — staff can quickly locate the fault channel through the indicator lights without disassembling the module to complete troubleshooting, reducing the mean time to repairMTTR) by more than 60%. At the same time, the module is compatible with mainstream communication protocols such as Modbus, RS-232, etc, and can be seamlessly connected to the full series of Triconex safety control systems, achieving plug-and-play integration with other controllers and modules, without the need for protocol conversion or hardware modification.
