IC200MDL240 is a VersaMax AC Input Module with positive logic or sourcing type inputs. This means the inputs will
receive current from AC input devices and then return the current on the common. To accomplish this, input devices
are connected between the input and common terminals. The IC200MDL240 provides two groups of eight discrete
inputs. Power for this particular module is derived from the backplane with intelligent processing performed from the
CPU or NIU. Each module comes standard with LED indicators for on/off state and to confirm the presence of backplane
power.
Prior to installation of the IC200MDL240 module, all parts should be carefully inspected for damage. If damage is found,
make note and request a replacement part. Placing a damaged unit into a CPU can cause additional problems. Wiring
photos and instructions are available online. Users should note that if hot insertion is done improperly, other modules on
the same backplane could be disrupted.
No derating is needed if mounted vertically; however, those used at 132 VAC do require derating, though not at 120 VAC.
For isolation, the user input to logic and frame ground is at 250 VAC continuous or 1500 VAC for one minute. Input voltage
for this module is 0 to 132 VAC and 120 VAC nominal. This includes on response time on 1 cycle maximum and off
response time of two cycles maximum. Installers should note that this module carries an explosion hazard, and no
components should be substituted.
