3300 Monitoring System

3300/05 is the modular rack and backplane used to mount a 3300 power supply, System Monitor and the selected machinery-monitor modules. Its ordered option determines rack size, mounting format, backplane generation and approval context.
3300/05 provides a defined hardware layout: the left-most position is reserved for the power supply, the adjacent position for the System Monitor and the remaining positions for individual monitors with rear Signal Input/Relay Modules. Correct rack identification is therefore essential when a project is expanding or migrating an installed system.
Power supply and System Monitor locations are fixed, leaving the remaining positions for measurement monitors.
Rack sizes are available for different monitor counts without internal point-to-point rack wiring.
The rack option identifies whether the backplane belongs to an original or SDI/DDI-compatible system generation.
A rack with the right number of positions can still have the wrong backplane generation. Verify the complete 3300/05 option against the System Monitor, power supply and monitor firmware before transferring modules.

Confirm panel cutout or EIA mounting, front/rear service access, slot count and module extraction clearance before the rack is installed.
Use the rack option to match the System Monitor, ac/dc power supply and monitor firmware; identical front dimensions do not prove backplane compatibility.
Only after the replacement rack option is matched to the installed System Monitor, power supply and monitor firmware. Record the old backplane code and module list before removing anything, then transfer one verified position at a time.
Original and later backplanes do not accept every power-supply generation. Stop power-up, compare the rack option with the compatibility guide and install only the documented supply/backplane combination.
Install the power supply in the left-most position and the System Monitor immediately beside it. Use the remaining positions for measurement monitors and keep each rear input/relay module aligned with its front monitor.
Confirm the complete rack option, number of positions, panel or EIA mounting, cutout, rear wiring access and barrier/approval requirement. Do not select by overall width alone.
Check the backplane generation, slot sequence, rear-module alignment and System Monitor configuration before changing sensor wiring. A different slot map or incompatible firmware can alter how rack data is read.
Photograph the full rack label, rear backplane and PIM area, System Monitor, power supply and occupied slot layout. Add the required position count and mounting format so the quotation can be checked as a complete rack configuration.
