2201 Monitoring System
Send the full nameplate, rack or system context, required quantity and destination. We will review the exact identity before quotation.
2201/03-01 is the four-channel measurement module used within the 2201 Monitoring System. Each channel is configured through the PLC-5 environment for a supported proximity or seismic measurement, allowing machinery data and plant process data to be handled from the same Allen-Bradley control platform.
2201/03-01 belongs in a complete 2201 arrangement that includes the monitoring backplane, System Monitor, compatible transducers, PLC addressing and a verified configuration data table. Its engineering value is the ability to combine four configurable measurement channels in one rack position while returning channel status and alarm information to the controller.
Each channel can be assigned a supported proximity, velocity or acceleration measurement rather than being fixed to one signal type.
The 2201 platform exchanges monitoring and alarm data through the Allen-Bradley 1771 I/O architecture.
Current value, OK state, Alert, Danger, gap information and error conditions are available to the control program.
The manufacturer warns that rack operation can be disrupted if a monitor is inserted or removed while powered. De-energize the rack, confirm the correct backplane position and restore the saved configuration before functional testing.

Define the installed transducer type, measurement function, filters, full scale, alarm behavior and PLC data words before the channel is placed in service.
Use System Monitor communication status, monitor OK indicators, channel error codes and PLC block-transfer data to separate rack, configuration and field-signal faults.
Use it only in the documented 2201 arrangement built around the Allen-Bradley 1771 I/O rack and the Bently Nevada monitoring backplane. Confirm slot addressing and the saved PLC/monitor configuration before moving hardware.
Start with that channel’s configured transducer type, wiring and supply selection, then compare its PLC error code and gap or signal value with the saved configuration. Correct the field or configuration mismatch before changing alarm setpoints.
They can be considered only when each channel is configured for the same manufacturer-supported transducer option and measurement function. Match the wiring, power requirement, filter settings and full scale channel by channel before energizing the rack.
Confirm power is isolated, the monitoring backplane is seated, the module is in the intended addressed slot, grounding is complete and the PLC data table is ready. Power up only after these checks and then verify System Monitor and channel status.
A healthy sensor does not prove that PLC communication is correct. Check System Monitor communication LEDs, rack addressing, block-transfer instructions and the channel-status words before disturbing the transducer loop.
Provide the complete label, rack and PLC details, monitoring-backplane information, channel configuration, transducer list and photographs of both module faces. This lets the quotation be checked against the actual control and measurement arrangement.
