138708-01 is the internal-termination Shaft Absolute I/O module for the Bently Nevada 3500/42M Proximitor/Seismic Monitor. It supports the manufacturer-defined combination of proximity and seismic transducer inputs used to derive shaft-absolute motion within the 3500 monitoring system.
138708-01 is not a general four-channel Prox/Velom module. Its channel pairing and transducer-supply arrangement are specific to shaft-absolute measurement, so the probe, velocity/seismic transducer, front monitor, firmware, and channel configuration must be checked as one measurement chain.
Supports the paired proximity and seismic inputs used for shaft-absolute monitoring.
Supports the manufacturer-listed Prox/Accel with Velomitor or Seismoprobe arrangements.
Transducer wiring terminates directly at the rear I/O module.

Shaft-absolute monitoring depends on the approved proximity/seismic pairing and channel configuration. Treating the module as a generic vibration input can produce an invalid measurement. Verify transducers, power selection, firmware, and rack configuration before enabling alarms.
Choose it when the approved configuration requires shaft-absolute motion derived from the manufacturer-supported proximity and seismic input pairing.
Match the exact proximity and seismic transducer types, sensitivities, power selection, channel pairing, orientation and polarity to the rack configuration.
Save the rack configuration and record both transducer identities, sensitivities, channel pairing, vector settings, alarms, and front-and-rear numbers.
Validate both contributing channels independently, then confirm their configured relationship and resulting shaft-absolute value before enabling alarms.
Check both sensor signals, orientation and polarity, sensitivity, power selection, channel pairing, and vector configuration before replacing hardware.
Provide the front 3500/42M number, both transducer models and sensitivities, pairing and configuration context, quantity, condition, destination, and labels.
