135489-01 is a four-channel Prox/Accel rear I/O module with internal barriers and internal terminations for the Bently Nevada 3500/42M monitor family. It receives compatible transducer signals while incorporating the internal-barrier architecture used for intrinsically safe field circuits.
135489-01 must be selected as part of the approved monitor, barrier, transducer, and rack-grounding design. The internal barriers change both the physical depth and the installation requirements, so a standard non-barrier I/O module should not be treated as an equivalent replacement.
Provides four barrier-equipped input channels for the specified Prox/Accel configuration.
Integrates the intrinsic-safety barrier function into the rear I/O assembly.
Field circuits terminate at the barrier I/O module inside the rack.

Bently Nevada requires a 3500/04 IS Earthing Module in every rack containing internal barriers. Without the approved earthing arrangement, the intrinsic-safety installation cannot be accepted. Stop installation until the rack design and field-loop documentation are verified.
Confirm the manufacturer-required 3500/04 IS Earthing Module and the approved internal-barrier rack arrangement. Stop if the earthing or loop design is undocumented.
The internal-barrier assembly is deeper than the standard rear I/O format. Confirm rack depth, access and cable space before the outage.
Match the approved transducer, loop entity parameters, field cable, polarity, shield and grounding treatment to the hazardous-area drawing.
Verify the barrier and earthing-module numbers, front monitor, field-loop wiring, channel configuration, and approved installation conditions.
Check sensor type and signal, barrier field terminals, loop continuity, grounding, channel configuration, and front-module status without bypassing the barrier.
Provide the front monitor, rack earthing arrangement, transducer and loop data, area classification, quantity, destination, and clear module labels.
